Thousand Pines Retreat Center near Lake Gregory
Thousand Pines features many amenities you are going to love from ping pong, hammocks for relaxing, horseshoes or settle in a swing around the fire pit. The Malt Shop and the Big Oak Cafe open for speciality coffees and delicious refreshments.
On Friday night, we'll hang out in the Malt Shop for a milkshake, nachos and other goodies for fun fellowship time. We even do some dancing with a DJ. Over the weekend, we gather around the bonfire with s'mores and go on a night hike.
There are a wide variety of optional fun free-time activities or relax and enjoy a nap in a swinging hammock. Free-time fun includes day and night hiking, climb the 322' wall with 3 skill levels and zip line 400' through the trees at 20 miles per hour.
Take a 30-minute mountain bike guided tour; play volleyball, climb the confidence ropes course; or play frisbee golf; archery; BB gun range; five-acre paintball course; skate park; swimming pool; game room; water sports at Lake Gregory, and more. A small fee is charged for some of the optional activities.

Singles and single parent families are invited! Kids have their very own teacher and separate learning time during retreat sessions. This gives adults time with other single adults, and single parents can build special memories with their child during free-time.
Family cabins are available for single parent families, while single adults room with other single adults. And, kids have their own time for fun activities and teaching with other kids during retreat sessions with Miss Kimberly their retreat teacher.

The retreat is an inter-denominational faith-based retreat where all legally single and ages are welcome. We have a few 20-somethings and most ages are 30's 40's 50's 60's.
Over our past 2 retreats, we have had 8-15 children attend the retreat with their parents. This will be the 3rd year opening the retreat up for single parent families to attend.
You will find a great experience and many new friendships in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Children's Teacher
Miss Kimberly is the retreat children's teacher giving the adults their own time during retreat sessions. Kids have their own meeting room.
Miss Kimberly was the children's teacher in 2015 and the kids loved her! Kim provides a positive and fun experience with snacks, crafts, Bible lessons and takes the kids to the game room. The kids win prizes and will enjoy hanging out with other kids.
